Recent Regulation Changes

• Title 471 Allows state-owned and operated residential treatment centers for children to exceed the limitation of no more than two 20-bed units only when all RTC providers within the state have delinked to serve the child. This exception will expire two years of the effective date of the exception.
• Title 471 Clarifies that the client, receiving inpatient hospital services for mental health or substance abuse treatment, must be treated by a psychiatrist or physician personally and face-to-face at least six out of seven days.
• Title 471 Incorporates federal Medicaid requirements for use of temper-resistant prescription pads for written drug prescriptions.
