Your Board of Nursing Works for You – A Healthcare Consumer’s Guide
The Supply and Demand for Licensed Practical Nurses and Registered Nurses in Nebraska - is a model created by the Nebraska Center for Nursing to help predict nursing workforce shortage cycles and calls for creative ways to retain and build the nursing workforce.
Grants
This year LPNAN will be offering two grants in the amount of $400/each for a person presently enrolled or planning to enroll in a school of practical nursing. Applicants must be members or agree to become members when applying for the grants. Also, LPNAN will be offering one grant in the amount of $150 for a LPN interested in furthering his/her education to become certified as a LPN-C. These grants will be awarded June 1, 2012. The grant winners will also be invited to attend the LPNAN Annual Convention to receive recognition and a certificate during the Awards Lunch that will take place October 25, 2012, at the Ramada Inn in Kearney, Nebraska. LPN of the Year Award
The Nebraska LPN of the Year Award recognizes one LPN in the state who has contributed greatly to the profession and the community. Applications will be available in April 2012. The award will be presented at the LPNAN Annual Convention Awards Lunch on Oct. 25, 2012, at the Ramada Inn in Kearney.
