MEMBERSHIP
INFORMATION
All
members of this Association shall be nurses who hold either an active
or inactive license as a practical nurse, issued by the State of
Nebraska, practical nursing students currently attending or enrolled
in a practical nursing school, and person or persons who contribute
to the Corporation.
Classification
Classification of members of this Corporation shall consist of (a)
full members and (b) associate members.
- Full
Members
This classification shall consist only of members of the Corporation
who are nurses who hold a license as a practical nurse issued
by the State of Nebraska or a mutual recognition state. Full members
shall be entitled to one vote on each subject matter and shall
have all other privileges of membership including the right to
hold office.
- Associate
Members
All other members shall be associate members. Such members shall
have all privileges except the right to hold office and the right
to vote. Students enrolled in approved schools of practical nursing
are associate members.

Governance
- A volunteer Board of Directors consisting of Licensed Practical
Nurses governs LPNAN. The Board of Directors includes an Executive
Committee (President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, and
Immediate Past President) and 14 Regional Ambassadors.
Regions
- Nebraska is divided into 14 regions. These 14 regions are based
on the Nebraska Manpower Report and the number of LPNs in each county

Regional
Ambassadors - The Regional Ambassador is a volunteer position approved
by the Board of Directors. The Regional Ambassador must be a member
of the Association and hold a nursing license in good standing and
serve on the Board of Directors of the Association. Their term shall
