Vision/Mission Statement : LPNAN is a professional organization that supports, promotes, and represents all aspects of practical nursing in Nebraska.
Beliefs/Purposes :
The purpose of LPNAN shall be:
- To preserve and foster the philosophy of practical nursing.
- To provide networking opportunities to all licensed practical nurses.
- To promote the economic and general welfare of all licensed practical nurses.
- To secure continued recognition of all licensed practical nurses.
- To promote the standards of care and ethics of all licensed practical nurses.
- To work with other health care groups/organizations interested in health care.
- To keep LPNs informed of practical nursing issues.
- To promote and maintain public relations among its own members and the consumer.
- To promote, support, and speak for Nebraska licensed practical nurses.
- To monitor and represent licensed practical nurses in regulatory and legislative issues.
- To promote standards of practical nursing for the various roles of LPNs.
- To promote continuing education.
Goals :
- Promote quality health care standards.
- Represent Nebraska LPNs in legislative and regulatory issues.
- Promote to consumers and healthcare professionals and organizations the diverse functions of LPNs.
