About LTCWIN LTCWIN is managed by NHCF (Nebraska Health Care Foundation). This nonprofit organization's mission is to improve quality of lives through education. Part of LTCWIN's function is as a resource center. This includes maintaining the NHCA video and resource libraries. LTCWIN will also assist in locating disease-specific information, internet research, and clinical practice guidelines. Computer-based education is one of the primary goals of LTCWIN and one that requires significant research and development to ensure that no one in the state is left behind. Distance education includes many methods, including independent study, videos, CD-ROMs, audio conferencing, Web-based learning, Web seminars, and Webcasts. The Nebraska Health Care Learning Center is a private postsecondary career school that opened July 1, 2004. It focuses specifically on education for the long term care environment. |
