Group Purchasing

NHCA/NALA offers group-purchasing programs through the following vendors:

HEALTH CARE INFORMATION SYSTEMS (HCIS) and
MEDI-BILL SYSTEMS –
is a provider of a comprehensive purchasing program for long term care facilities. Their “program” consists of, in part, of uniform contract bid procedures designed to obtain the lowest possible prices
for items purchased by health care providers; uniform audit procedures whereby HCIS monitors vendor compliance with negotiated contract pricing; and monthly computer printouts to be used by health care providers in analyzing purchasing history and projecting future product needs. This program includes the Sysco Progressive Allowance Program that allows all members of NHCA/NALA to be eligible to participate in the Sysco brand purchasing incentive program where members of NHCA/NALA will receive 100 percent of any remuneration received if said members meet the qualifying/compliance threshold in effect for this program.
