NCAL Releases Medicaid Payment and Policy Report
The National Center for Assisted Living (NCAL) recently released a comprehensive national report, “State Medicaid Reimbursement Policies and Practices in Assisted Living,” detailing the wide variation in how states determine Medicaid payment levels for assisted living communities and other related policy issues.
2009 AL Rate Survey
NHCA/NALA had Seim Johnson Sestak & Quist develop a financial survey for Nebraska assisted living facilities to attempt to estimate an average cost of care for an assisted living resident. Accurate completion of this survey for your facility or individual facilities is critical for our ability to advocate for a higher Medicaid Waiver appropriation with the Appropriation’s Committee and rate with the Department. Only one facility’s information may be entered on a single form. Please review the instructions for additional information. Included is a blank form, a separate sheet for notes, and sample completed spreadsheet. If you are not comfortable with Excel, please use the paper (PDF) form. Responses due by February 1, 2009.
