Notes
1. The shortfall for the state of Washington only represents a comparison of the operating cost to operating rate. Accurate allowable property cost data were not available so the comparison excludes property costs and the property component of the rate.
2. An independent rate analysis conducted by Seim, Johnson, Sestak, & Quist, LLP, estimates Nebraska’s projected 2007 per patient-day loss to be $14.77. This analysis recognizes that the calculation methodology does not consider the additional discount NHHSS receives from the nursing homes due to resident levels 35 & 36 being paid using the Medicaid assisted living rate rather than the nursing home rate.
