The Ambassador Sidney is a 50-bed Skilled Nursing Facility. All 50 beds are dually certified Medicare and Medicaid with a focus on Medicare A census; we provide physical, occupational and speech therapy services. Our facility recently completed a major remodeling project and in the future would like to pursue the potential of expansion of services either in the skilled setting or assisted living. Our census occupancy rate averages at 95 percent. As administrator, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the facility in accordance with the applicable policies and procedures, current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern long-term care facilities. The administrator is responsible for developing and maintaining employee relations, ensuring the coordination of the delivery of quality care and services, and achieving business development goals and results. The successful candidate must possess:

  • State of Iowa Nursing Home Administrator License
  • Experience in long term care
  • Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration or related field required
  • Ability to read and interpret financial records and reports
  • Ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies and procedures that are necessary for providing quality care and maintaining a sound business operation
  • Knowledge of reimbursement regulations and nursing practices and procedures, as well as laws and regulations
  • Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel
