Currently we are looking for a director of nursing to lead our nursing department to providing quality care. A qualified director of nursing will have an active Nebraska nursing license (RN) and an active CPR certification.
Responsibilities:
- Manage nursing leadership and the nursing team to ensure quality care is being provided.
- Handle the on-call schedule among nurse leadership (including yourself).
- Monthly audits and reviews (track call lights, med errors, risk management, expenses, etc).
- Grievance follow-ups.
- Staffing for the nursing team and nursing leadership.
- Oversee clinical classes of nursing students.
- Other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
- Pass a physical exam.
- Lift, push, pull and move residents, equipment, supplies, etc.
- Be able to life up to 50 lbs. continuously throughout the day.
- Bend, stoop and twist almost constantly throughout the day.
- See and hear well enough to take blood pressure, chart, read thermometers, etc.
- Remain active and on their feet for up to four (4) hours at a time.
