Position Summary

Essential Responsibility

  • Maintains budget accountability to the operations support team, aggressively anticipates and minimizes negative budget variances and deficits.  This will be completed through emails, voice calls, weekly call meetings, and virtually.
  • Review the accounts payable and receivable to ensure accurate accounting, while ensuring receivables days do not exceed Lloyd Jones Senior Living Standards.
  • In partnership with community leaders, maintain labor costs, food costs, and other budgetary items in line with the budget.
  • Reviews hires, promotions, disciplinary actions, and termination of employment of associates with attention paid to consistency in the selection and retention of quality associates.
  • Ensures the inside and outside of the physical community are up to company standards through the oversight of preventative maintenance and routine cleaning.
  • Fosters creativity among all associates to deliver the highest quality care and hospitality.
  • Creating and maintaining an atmosphere of stability.
  • Maintains a positive image with the community.
  • Conducts department head meetings on a weekly basis, while identifying goals, challenges, and the completion of previous barriers.

  • In the absence of key community associates the executive director may assist with cooking, serving meals, providing care, lead resident activities, and complete prospective tours.  Other tasks may include shoveling sidewalks, cleaning windows, taking out garbage, cleaning public restrooms, vacuuming, washing dishes, managing the security system and delayed egress system.
  • Ensure adherence to procedures regarding community infection control policies.
  • Actively participate in correcting deficiencies identified during internal and external surveys/ audit.
  • Continuously maintain knowledge of the policy and procedures of Lloyd Jones Senior Living.
  • Immediately report any workplace injuries immediately to your regional team.  TIhs includes reporting guest and resident incidents.
  • Attend all in-services, training, staff meetings, and department meetings.
  • Complete and adhere to all other tasks and responsibilities set by the direct supervisor.
Minimum Job QualificationsLevel of Education

  • Bachelor’s degree
Technical or Professional License(s)/Certification(s)
  • Administrator License in good standing.
Level of Experience
  • At least 5 years of progressively responsible management experience in the industry or related field.
General Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
  • Ability to read and write, follow written and oral instructions, and communicate effectively in English.  Ability to work with the elderly in a courteous and friendly manner, demonstrating patience and compassion.  Ability to perform duties with consideration for residents’ rights at all times and demonstrate integrity and discretion in the care of residents and in handling their health information.  Strong interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving leadership, and motivational skills.
Technical Skills
  • Knowledge of management, fiscal, and medical/nursing practices and procedures, laws, regulations and guidelines pertaining to long-term care.  Ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, interpret, and manage programs, goals, objectives, policies, procedures, and resources necessary to provide quality of care.  Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
