CORONAVIRUS DISEASE 2019 (COVID-19)

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) are monitoring and tracking the outbreak of the respiratory illness Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19). As more cases are reported in the U.S., the Nebraska Health Care Association will communicate the latest information.

The CDC has declared COVID-19 a serious public health threat with a low immediate health risk at this time. The number of Nebraska confirmed cases, cases undergoing further testing, and cases tested negative can be found on the DHHS website. Nebraska Health Care Association COVID-19 Weekly Member Connections

NHCA will hold COVID-19 weekly member connections via Zoom on Fridays at 11:00 a.m. CT. The NHCA team will provide the latest information and resources on COVID-19. Time will be allotted for discussion and questions. These connections are open to member nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, hospice and palliative care providers, home health agencies, and licensed practical nurses. Members will be alerted with the Zoom link prior to each connection.

DHHS, ICAP COVID-19 Webinars for Long-Term Care

The Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) in association with the Nebraska Infection Control Assessment and Promotion Program (ICAP) will host several weekly webinars on COVID-19 specific to post-acute and long-term care facilities in Nebraska. The webinars will take place on Thursdays at 12:00 p.m. CT. Members will be alerted with the Zoom link prior to each webinar.
