The novel coronavirus (COVID-19) has changed nearly all aspects of life, especially the lives of residents in skilled nursing facilities and assisted living communities. Skilled nursing facilities and assisted living communities face additional challenges as investigations, litigation, and rapid regulatory changes occur. This session will review case studies from 2020-2021 and the lessons learned from the legal issues that have arisen.
