Life Safety Workshop – October 8-9, 2019

This program will discuss the most common life safety deficiencies for long-term care and assisted living facilities in Nebraska and the minimum required inspection, testing, and maintenance activities that need to be performed on a facility’s fire protection systems to meet requirements of NFPA 101, 2012 edition.

 

At the completion of the program, participants will be able to:

1. Understand the top life safety deficiencies issued in Nebraska

2. Understand what regular inspection, testing, and maintenance requirements apply to a facility

3. Understand what inspection, testing, and maintenance aspects can be performed by facility personnel and what needs to be done by licensed contractors

4. Understand the 2012 Life Safety Code for nursing facilities and assisted living facilities

5. Understand emergency preparedness/active shooter for long-term care

AUDIENCE:
This program is designed for administrators and maintenance supervisors in nursing facilities and assisted living facilities.’
