Directed Health Measures
Your safety and well-being are NHCA’s top priority. The event will follow Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department directed health measures (DHMs) in place at the time the event is held.
This program will discuss the most common life safety deficiencies for long-term care and assisted living facilities in Nebraska. The minimum required inspection, testing, and maintenance activities that need to be performed on a facility’s fire protection systems to meet requirements will be discussed.
At the completion of this program, participants will be able to:
- Understand the top life safety deficiencies in Nebraska.
- Explain what regular inspection, testing, and maintenance requirements apply to a facility.
- Identify what inspection, testing, and maintenance aspects can be performed by facility personnel and what needs to be done by licensed contractors.
- List two updates to the Life Safety Code for nursing facilities and assisted living facilities.
- Describe emergency preparedness and active shooter preparedness for long-term care.
This program is designed for administrators and maintenance supervisors in nursing facilities and assisted living facilities.
