At the beginning of each legislative session, NNFA/NALA staff review all legislation introduced to identify legislation that may directly impact the interest of members as well as legislation that we intend to monitor. A summary of this legislation is prepared for the NNFA/NALA Government Relations Committee. The Committee discusses these legislative bills and agrees upon a position of support, oppose, or monitor. The NNFA and NALA Boards of Directors approve or amend the Committee’s recommendations which becomes the Associations’ position.
At legislative committee hearings, individual State Senator meetings, or through coalitions with other professional associations, NHCA advocates the Associations’ position.
