Nursing Facility Reimbursement

The Nebraska Nursing Facility Association Reimbursement Committee is responsible for reviewing Nebraska’s nursing facility reimbursement and its impact on the industry, advocating for adequate and predictable reimbursement for nursing facilities, and educating members on the reimbursement system.


June 2020 | Nursing Facility Rate Methodology Update

On June 4, 2020, Nebraska Health Care Association and LeadingAge Nebraska will host Jeremy Brunssen, Interim Medicaid Director, for a presentation on the Fiscal Year 2021 (FY2021) Medicaid nursing facility rates. Brunssen provided an overview and an analysis of the rate calculation process, which is based on the new methodology, and responded to member questions. Individual rate notifications were emailed to members on May 28, 2020.

February 2020 | Nursing Facility Rate Methodology Update

On Feb. 20, 2020, four state leaders collaborated in a webinar to educate nursing facilities about the new Medicaid nursing facility rate methodology that is scheduled to be implemented July 1, 2020, and the work leading up to this change.
