Nebraska Antipsychotic Usage Table – Rolling Quarters and Nebraska Antipsychotic Usage Table – Individual Quarters – Updated as of October 26, 2017, and includes information through second quarter 2017. (Click here to view the previous four quarters only.) A missing value for the quality measure indicates that the facility either did not have enough residents to be included in the denominator (equal to 30 residents for the long-stay measure and 20 residents for the short-stay), or the score was missing for that facility.

Hand-in-Hand training – CMS has announced the release of “Hand in Hand: A Training Series for Nursing Homes,” a groundbreaking presentation about person-centered care for people with dementia and prevention of abuse. CMS anticipates shipping the course, which includes an orientation guide and six one-hour video-based modules, each of which has a DVD and an accompanying instructor guide, directly to the nursing facility by the end of September.

Alzheimer’s & Dementia Care Seminar – Nebraska Nursing Facility Association and Nebraska Assisted Living Association are offering a seminar on Dementia Care by the National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners in North Platte on November 14-15, 2012. Part of this seminar will discuss the non-pharmacological management of dementia. In addition this training meets one of the requirements for staff to be certified as a dementia care practitioner.
