Job Description


The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a highly motivated, self-starter to oversee all State and Federal regulatory compliance in all four of our facilities throughout the state. To apply for this position, please send your resume, cover letter, references, and other application documents to The Systems Clinician, aka Regional Clinical Consultant, is critical to ensuring the four veterans’ homes remain in compliance with state and federal regulations and operate under consistent, effective policies and procedures that ensure patient care, safety, and quality of life. This position will build relationships with regulatory organizations such as the USVA and DHHS Licensure Unit. This incumbent will spend time traveling to each of the facilities ensuring consistent application of agency policies and procedures and best practices and provide guidance on risk management issues via reports and plans of action to ensure optimal patient care.


Qualifications / Requirements

Successful incumbents will possess a Bachelors Degree in Nursing, as well as at least 10 years of experience, five years of quality assurance or quality control in a clinical setting and supervisory experience. Any combination of education and experience will be considered.


Knowledge, skills and abilities

Knowledge of state long-term care regulations, USVA care facilities regulations, professional licensing requirements and accreditation requirements. In addition to CMS (Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services). Strong knowledge in math and metrics as well as proficiency in Five Stars Analytics is preferred.
